Sandra Caron decided to go to court last night after the BBC refused to guarantee the five-part programme would not be broadcast on Radio 4 next week. Furious Ms Caron - the younger sister of the star who was a confidante of The Beatles and who died of cancer in 1966 aged 34 - decided to act after learning the content of the series. The BBC, who say that the programme is not a biographical series but a series of vignettes inspired by some of the events in her life, have said that they will be defending the action. S
