A brass band leads striking shipyard men through Wallsend-on-Tyne to a mass meeting at a recreation ground. More than 200, 000 men are involved in the strike, which has paralysed Britain's shipyards. Travelling in the opposite direction are export cars en route to Tyneside docks for shipment to Scandinavia. Strikers are calling for a 10 per cent increase in wages.
