Art - Giant Horse Shoe Mound - Scarrington, Nottinghamshire
The stack, now totalling 70, 000 horse shoes, represents the discarded footwear of some 17, 500 horses. The mound was started about 20 years ago by a blacksmith, George Flinders, in Scarrington, Nottinghamshire. Mr Flinders, 66, has now retired but the pillar remains as a monument to his skill. Riding past the stack is Janet Crawford, who lives in the village.
