Army Christmas Parcels - Nottingham
Santa Claus will still be very much 'on active service' this Christmas. One of his big jobs is getting a bumper mail of Christmas parcels out to members of the army and the R.A.F serving in the Middle East. Official closing date for parcels to this area was December 11th 1946. This scene from the Army Post Office parcels department at Nottingham taken today, a month later, shows some of the immense number of parcels still coming in for the boys over there and the parcels are still pouring in.
