Bride-to-be Janet Terret, 23, of Manchester, climbs up aboard Radio Caroline North, which is four miles off the Isle of Man. She is set to marry Radio Caroline disc jockey, Mick Luvzit, 23, of Toronto, Canada, with the wedding ceremony due to conducted by the Master of the floating radio station, Captain Martin Gips, of Amsterdam. Radio Caroline is registered in Panama and flies the Panamanian flag, which allows the captain to perform a marriage ceremony.

Members of the cast of Britain's longest running radio serial, "The Archers", which is to be brought to the stage for the first time, in the village of Bagnor near Newbury, Berkshire. The drama, "The Archers Live in Ambridge", will run from June 18th to July 13th. Among the cast are (left to right) regulars Charles Collingwood (who plays Brian Aldridge), Patricia Greene (Jill Archer), Norman Painting (Phil Archer), and Alison Dowling (Elizabeth Archer) as well as Norman Jones (Jack Woolley) and David Parfitt (Nigel Pargetter) who are not in the radio show but have been brought in to replace the actors who have other engagements. Norman Painting is celebrating his 35th anniversary as an "Archer".
