Queen Elizabeth - Standards and Guidon ceremony
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II in her role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Household Cavalry, and the Duke of Edinburgh, arrive at the Presentation of Standards and Guidon ceremony in London's Horseguards Parade. * In a ceremony which occurs just once every 10 years, the Queen was being escorted, in a horse-drawn carriage, from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards in Central London by cavalrymen of the Life Guards, where the old Standards and Guidon - banners - were being paraded for the last time. The new Colours and Guidon were then being brought on to the parade ground and, following consecration by the clergy, were being paraded before the Queen.
