Former Notts County and England centre forward Tommy Lawton pulling pints behind the bar at the Magna Carta Inn at Lowdham, Nottinghamshire where he is the publican. Tommy Lawton started his football career at Burnley before moving to Everton and then Chelsea. He then signed for Third division Notts County for a record fee of £20, 000. After scoring 90 goals for the club he then moved to Brentford before finishing his playing career at Arsenal. After Managing Kettering Town and Notts County, Tommy Lawton became the Landlord at the Magna Carta.

Many stars attended the party held to get the new film off to a good start. Shortly after this picture was taken Albert Finney made his way to the Cambridge Theatre where he is currently starring in 'Billy Liar'.

Barney the horse enjoys a visit to The Old White Bear public house in Tingley, with his owner Harry Lacey, a rag collector. Barney is a regular visitor the pub, after spending his work days pulling Harry's cart to Bradford and back. "It does him the world of good and there's no holding him when he gets near the pub", said Mr Lacey. "Talk about leading a horse to water - this one thrives on beer and pies."
