Queen - Coronation Anniversary

Three generations of the British Royal family - Queen Elizabeth II, her oldest son, the Prince of Wales, and his oldest son, Prince William - pose for a photograph, at Clarence House in London, before a dinner to mark the 50th anniversary of her Coronation. * The Prince of Wales was hosting the meal at his new residence, formerly the London home of the 101-year-old Queen Mother, after a day of celebration which included a service at Westminster Abbey and a children's tea party in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Prince Charles in Sterling Featured Print

Prince Charles in Sterling

The Prince of Wales arrives at the Albert Halls in Sterling to meet D-Day veterans. The Prince talked to three old soldiers from Glasgow who recounted their memories of the Normandy landings and the battle in which many of their comrades fell. The meeting at Stirling's Albert Halls - his first visit to the city since the Dunblane massacre of 1996 - came on the last day of a three-day long series of engagements north of the border.
