Entertainment - Ken Dodd "Fill the Jam Jar" Photocall - London
Comedian Ken Dodd pictured this afternoon when he handed over a jam jar full of money to the Rev, John Pellow Assistant Director, National Fund for Research into Poliomyeltiis and other Crippling Dieases, at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London. Money had been collected in dressing room at the London Palladium in response to a "Fill the Jam jar" campaign. Also in the picture are Jennie Lyons (left) and Wendy Gotelel who had come from the palladium with Ken Dodd, and Corporal Burton of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea. The presentation was made shortly before the annual meeting of the Fund. It was formerly known as the Polio Research Fund.

Entertainment - Ken Dodd and Bluebell Girls Photocall - London
Ken Dodd the comedian from Liverpool's Knotty Ash, has been booked by the BBC to star in a weekly series of summer shows to be televised live on sunday from Blackpool, starring in July. The shows will feature the famous Bluebell Girls dancing troupe, appearing in their first series on British television. Ken Dodd is seen trying out some dance steps at Broadcasting House, London with Madame Bluebell who comes from Liverpool, and two of the Bluebell Girls, Monique Swarz 23, of Paris (left), and Gillian Elvins, 21, of Grove Park, London.
