Hayley Mills, the 20-year-old actress daughter of John Mills, pictured at London Airport, where she left for San Francisco, having recovered form the illness that prevented her going on Tuesday. On that day, she was taken ill aboard the Boeing 707 jetliner after it had taxied out to the runway. Her mother, playwright Mary Hayley Bell, was quoted as saying that Hayley was suffering from a severe attack of gastro-enteritis.

The 100-year-old royal was due to visit Tower Hamlets, scene of many wartime visits with her husband, King George. During the public engagement, she was due to unveil a memorial garden on the Barkantine Estate, Isle of Dogs, in honour of the people who have lived and worked there.
