Keith Moon, drummer of rock band The Who, dressed as a lollipop man in Battersea to help children safely cross the road. Due to the high number of road accidents to children in Thessaly Road, near the group's recording studios, residents have asked the band to help their campaign to get a children's crossing installed in the area.

The cast were meeting the Press today at the cul-de-sac in Croxteth Park, Liverpool, which has been taken over for the twice-weekly series. Playing the Grant family are (from l-r) Simon O'Brien (Damion), Paul Usher (Barry), Shelagh O'Hara (Karen), Sue Johnston (Sheila) and former building worker Eric Tomlinson as Robert Grant.
