Russian cellist Rostropovitch & Prince and Princess of Wales

The Prince and Princess of Wales with exiled Russian cellist Mstislav Rostropovitch in the state apartments of Kensington Palace. Mr Rostrpovich gave a concert with the English Chambr Orchestra at the palace for the royal couple and their guests. *Princess Margaret was amongst the guests attending. The Prince of Wales is patron of the English Chamber Orchestra. The maestro's wedding present to the royal couple- a concert - was delivered to the couple in 1982.
