Motor Sport - World Speedway Championship Final - Peter Craven - Wembley stadium
Holding his 500 winner's cheque is Peter Craven (far right), of United Kingdom, straddles a tractor at the Empire Stadium, Wembley, London, after winning the World Speedway Championship final. Behind him, with their plaques, are Barry Briggs (centre), of New Zealand and Southampton, who took the second prize of 200, and Ove Fundin (l), of Sweden, who was third and received a prize of 100. Driving the tractor is comedian Norman Wisdom, who presented the awards.

A speed dual between the two fastest track racing cars in the world, driven by two of the most popular British drivers, was a feature of the Brooklands August Bank Holiday programme. Sir Henry Birkin overtaking John Cobb in the last lap. Sir Henry Birkin won.

Motor Racing - Brooklands - 1932
Tazio Nuvolari, the Italian motorcycle and racecar driver, known as Il Mantovano Volante (The Flying Mantuan) or Nivola. He was the 1932 European Champion in Grand Prix motor racing.
