No19 Fighter Squadron, based at Duxford, Cambs., flying their two blade propeller Supermarine Spitfire aircraft in formation in the year of the outbreak of the Second World War. No19 was the first RAF Squadron to be equipped with the new Supermarine Spitfire (1938), the only fighter aircraft to be used throughout the War.

Austin car wins 500 mile race at Brooklands. The 500 mile race at Brooklands won by s.c. Davis and the Earl of March in an Austin car. They won by 10 miles at an average speed of 83 mph. Here the winning car passes the post.
