Earl of Suffolk - Churchwarden Club - Suffolk Arms Hostelry - Malmesbury, Wiltshire

Michael Howard, Earl of Suffolk (centre) and other members of the Churchwarden Club with 17-inch long pipes at the 200-year-old Suffolk Arms hostelry at Malmesbury, Wiltshire. The 'churchwarden' pipes were found during renovations of an old chimney at the hostelry. Customers pay a shilling to become members of the Churchwarden Club, and their entrance fee entitles them to smoke the old pipes.
