Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh chat while seated during a musical performance in the Abbey Gardens, Bury St Edmunds during her Golden Jubilee visit to Suffolk. *09/10/03: The Queen, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, was launching a set of revamped train carriages in a visit to London's Kings Cross Station. Great North Eastern Railway has invested 30 million in the refit of all 302 passenger car interiors in their electric 225 fleet. Extra legroom for passengers in standard accommodation, seats with better back support, fresh coffee-making facilities and electric power sockets for laptops are among the improvements.

The Duke of Edinburgh, attending the Royal Film Performance in London, shakes hands with Swedish actress Britt Eklund. Miss Eklund married British actor Peter Sellers in England last week. The Royal Fim Performance of the new Doris Day and James Garner film 'Move Over, Darling' was held at the Odeon Theatre, Leicester Square, and was in aid of the Cinematograph Trade Benevolent Fund. Queen Elizabeth - Standards and Guidon ceremony
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II in her role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Household Cavalry, and the Duke of Edinburgh, arrive at the Presentation of Standards and Guidon ceremony in London's Horseguards Parade. * In a ceremony which occurs just once every 10 years, the Queen was being escorted, in a horse-drawn carriage, from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards in Central London by cavalrymen of the Life Guards, where the old Standards and Guidon - banners - were being paraded for the last time. The new Colours and Guidon were then being brought on to the parade ground and, following consecration by the clergy, were being paraded before the Queen.
