Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh sit with 15 Governors-General of the Commonwealth before attending dinner to mark their first ever joint meeting hosted by the Queen at Winsor Castle, Royal Berkshire. * This is the first official duty undertaken by the Queen since the death of her Mother, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. Film Premiere - The Charge of the Light Brigade - Odeon Theatre, Leicester Square, London
Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by carnation- wearing Field Marshall Sir Richard Hull arrives at the Odeon Theatre, Leicester Square, London, to attend World Premiere of Tony Richardson's film, "The Charge of the Light Brigade". The premiere aids the Army Benevolent Fund, the English Stage Society and the Ranfurly Library Service, of which the Prince is Patron.
