Landmarks - Clifton Suspension Bridge - Bristol
Perhaps the loftiest oiling job, and the coolest, in Britain is carried out by this workman, surefooted on the steep chains of the Clifton Suspension Bridge, 330 feet above the River Avon, Bristol. He inspects and oils the joints on the chains of the bridge. The bridge was designed by Isambard Kingdom and was completed in 1864.

Moving Bridge Gateshead
The worlds largest floating crane Asian Hercules II, moves the 850-tonne Gateshead Millennium Bridge up the River Tyne, to its permanent position. The 22 million bridge will span the River Tyne to create a pedestrian and cycling link. *... between the Gateshead Quays and neighbouring Newcastle's quayside. The design of the structure allows it to rotate to allow boats to pass underneath and the movement of the bridge has been likened to the blinking of an eye.
