Royalty - The Duchess of York - London
The Duchess of York at the British Home and Hospital for Incurables in Streatham, South London. She became patron in 1925. She is with Matron E L Walker & resident Miss Esther Shaw (aged 40), who came to the hospital in 1923 after falling from a window on her wedding day and was paralysed from the waist down. She died in 1937.
