Submerged Church - Pateley Bridge, Yorkshire
The little village church at West End, near Pateley Bridge, Yorkshire, is slowly disappearing beneath the water of a reservoir. The Washburn Valley has been dammed at Thruscross to form a reservoir for Leeds. With the gradual rise of the water, farmers and villagers have had to move from their homes. Soon the church will be completely submerged.
