The DC8 airliner was needed to carry their equipment, which included musical instruments, lights and more than seven tons of amplification equipment. Also a crew of 16 people will accompany them on their 12 day tour of the major cities of Japan.

Pop idol Shakin Stevens. The 53-year-old Welsh singer-songwriter is facing a charge of drink driving (2002) after being arrested in his vehicle in the village of Clearwell, near Coleford, in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, in the early hours of New Year's Day, it emerged. * 16/1/02: Pop idol Shakin' Stevens was appearing in court charged with drink driving - two weeks after his arrest in the early hours of New Year's Day. The 53-year-old singer-songwriter was stopped by police in his vehicle in the village of Clearwell, near Coleford in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, just two hours into the New Year.

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, Smoke On The Water by Deep Purple and Hotel California by The Eagles all made the top 10. But the 1971 Led Zeppelin classic polled over 70% of the vote in the survey by radio station Planet Rock. The song was never even released as a single but has been covered by everyone from Rolf Harris to Dolly Parton.
