Media - ITN General Election Coverage - Andrew Gardner, David Frost and George Ffitch - London

Three of the key men in Independent Television's General Election coverage on polling night in the "The Nation Decides" stood next to the scoreboard in the Election Studio at ITN headquarters in Wells Street, London. They are (l-r) Andrew Gardner, who will be presenting the results, David Frost and George Ffitch, who will be interviewing the politicians. David Frost will be reviving his first moon landing partnership with Alastair Burnet (who is missing from the image as he has a throat infection) to bring a cross flow of information and entertainment.

Finance and Economy - Currency - Decimalisation - London

Trying to see the point of the decimal system is Mr Roger Hutchinson from Hertfordshire as Shell employee Marion Stevens , 20, of Eltham explains at Lawrences Garage, Waterloo, London. From this day some 6000 Shell, BP and National petrol pumps are showing their prices in the new decimal currency. This is because the second stage in the programme of converting petrol pumps in preparation for D-Day, 15th February 1971, has now begun. The total value of the ale through the decimal pump is shown in p (pounds and new pence) instead of shillings and pence, but the motorist can convert his purchase into present currency as a conversion table is fixed to each pump.
