With her jackdaw Hotfoot Jackson perched on her head, Sybil Leek, the 'White Witch of Burley', spreads her cloak in a ritual dance in the New Forest. High priestess of a coven of 13 witches, she has been providing a service of spell-casting and herb-healing for clients throughout the country.
Customs and Traditions - Maldon Mud Race
Competitors take part in the annual Maldon Mud Race in Maldon, Essex. Dozens of competitors skidded and slid through slimy black mud and ice cold water in the annual race from one bank of a river to the other. The race, which started in 1973, is set on the River Blackwater in the historic town. Competitors set off at low tide from one bank and wade or swim through the waist high water to the other side.

Shetland Pony Downs Pints in Gloucester
Sparky the Shetland Pony downs a pint of Arkell 3B at his local the Globe Inn in Sandhurst, Gloucester. The Shetland Pony is fussy about his drinks and turns his nose up at Cider, Alcopops and Larger but is very partial to a pint of Arkells 3B. He earns his beer money by giving cart rides to the local children.
