Mr Tim Durrant, aged 68, who won a bet of �500.00 with Ladbrokes, when he completed the Grand National course on Saturday on "Highlander" after falling and remounting at Beechers Brook, hands over the cheque to Mr Fred Winter for the "Injured National Hunt Jockeys Fund". Standing behind is Mr Stein (no first name known) of Ladbrokes who paid out the money to Mr Durrant.

Soccer - Betting Triumph for Gardener and his Wife - Savoy Hotel, London
Mr William Hill, Chairman of bookmakers William Hill Limited, hands over a cheque for 43, 392 to gardener Alfred Miller and his wife Anne at the Savoy Hotel. Mr Miller won the cheque by correctly forecasting the results of five of last weekend's football matches on Hill's Correct Scores List.
