Entertainment - Charlie Chaplin in London - Savoy Hotel Roof, London
London-born CHARLIE CHAPLIN, greatest comedian of the century, returned to his native London. With his wife and four children, he stepped ashore at Southampton at 8:30 from the Cunard Liner 'Queen Elizabeth' in which they had crossed from New York. Shortly afterwards they boarded the boat train for London. They have come for a six-months visit, during which they hope to see something of France, Italy and Holland, as well as an extensive your of Britain. Picture shows Charlie Chaplin and his wife on the roof of the Savoy Hotel, when the comedian took the first opportunity of showing his wife the sights of London.
