Kidbrooke Comprehensive School, Greenwich, London. The school is one of the first purpose built comprehensive schools in the country, and was designed by the architect Charles Pike. It cost 600, 000 to build, and was London County Council's first comprehensive school. Classrooms are in three self contained blocks, each on three floors with glasswool between to deaden sound. Nearly 2, 000 pupils attend the school. Picture shows a view of the playground during a break in lessons.
